My own wedding invitation suite

I designed the envelope liner to feel as though flowers were blooming right out of it, greeting guests the moment they opened the invitation.

Some would say that this is the suite that started it all. While I had begun designing wedding invitations prior to creating my own, my invitation suite was the breakthrough point which allowed my creativity to flow limitlessly! I wanted the suite to set the tone for the celebration, giving guests the feeling of stepping straight into a lush spring garden.

The suite was enclosed in a silk ribbon–bound gatefold jacket, centered with a custom crest that later reappeared on the reception dance floor. The jacket itself was wrapped in a pattern of wisteria vines, a meaningful nod to the blooms that grew in my childhood backyard.

Inside the jacket, the scene unfolded with green rolling hills, our ranch venue with its famous llamas, and wisteria draped along the top - a preview of what guests would later see at the reception. On the day itself, many told us it felt like they were stepping right into our invitations!

Our beloved cats, Paisley and Luna, made an appearance as the RSVP requesters. A cowboy boot and disco ball offered a playful nod to the western-inspired barn afterparty that awaited.

Illustrations from the invitations carried seamlessly into the day-of details, creating continuity and immersing guests in our world. From the dance floor to the custom bars, escort wall, and stationery, my watercolor artwork became the consistent thread that tied the evening together.
