CAITLIN & DAN
OCTOBEr 2025

Caitlin and Dan were married at a winery in Walla Walla, Washington, where C&D had gotten engaged and just a few hours from home.  We designed their invitation suite to evoke wine country charm from the moment it was opened, making guests feel as though they were already stepping into the vineyards.

To deepen the fall-inspired warmth, the suite was tied together with a butter-yellow velvet ribbon, introducing a textured element that felt both elegant and seasonal

The rehearsal dinner invitation gave guests a playful preview of the evening to come: an Italian feast! We illustrated servers holding platters of Italian dishes and pouring wine for an indulgent and vibrant evening.

The suite began with a watercolor illustration of their venue, complete with rolling vineyards, adorning the envelope liner. Because their color palette centered around warm hues and the bridesmaids would be wearing butter-yellow dresses, we carried this into the stationery by choosing a butter-yellow envelope.

Inside, the main invitation was designed to feel refined and timeless. Two single stems of dahlias, one of the hero florals of their wedding, were the focal point. Below that, letterpressed text paired hand-calligraphed script with a traditional serif, striking a balance between romantic and classic.

A letterpressed border framed the invitation, and the edges were painted to match the ink color to create a seamless finish.

The details card featured a tonal letterpress design with an illustration of a Sperry tent, hinting at the reception location.

One of the sweetest details of the suite was the RSVP card, which featured Caitlin and Dan’s dog Barley, illustrated wearing a bowtie, foreshadowing Barley walking down the aisle in a tux and bowtie.

DAY-OF DETAILS

On the wedding day, we brought back the warm tones and dahlia motifs for the dinner menus. Each menu included hand-painted watercolor text and a die-cut dahlia nametag as the seating card. The butter-yellow velvet ribbon from the invitation suite returned here as well, tying the place settings together both literally and aesthetically.

The finishing touch to the invitation suite was a hand-poured wax seal, customized with Caitlin & Dan's names in their signature script. The wax seal was designed as a square with an offset design to enhance the modern and fresh feel of the suite.

The bar menu carried forward the playful spirit, featuring Barley again, this time impersonating each specialty cocktail.
